ALL IN: BUILDING OUR FUTURE IN CHRIST TOGETHER

Dear Faithful,

At the upcoming Parish Assembly on February 18, we will announce our 2024 stewardship goal of $55,000 and our theme for this year’s campaign:  “All In:  Building Our Future In Christ Together.”  To help our parish to be “All In” and to “Build Our Future In Christ Together,” please consider a stewardship contribution or pledge for 2024.  For 2024, we encourage EVERYONE to be a steward for Saint James.  To build the future of our parish together, we need to be All In!

Just think, if EVERYONE contributed, no matter the amount, we would truly demonstrate to each other that we ALL want to build the future of our church together.  We cannot think of stewardship as something that only the people who are most active with the parish, or the people who have the greatest monetary resources, should contribute.  Stewardship is for everyone.  The future of our parish depends on everyone being All In.

Stewardship is a spiritual experience spelled out in Scriptures: “Like good stewards of the manifold grace of God, serve one another, with whatever gift each of you has received.” (1 Peter 4:10).  In honor of our theme, we ask you ALL to be stewards of the mission of our parish, so that we can continue to preserve our church community for our children, our children’s children and beyond.

With your support of our stewardship program, in 2023 we were able to accomplish all of the following and much more:

• Celebrated Badarak every Sunday, a full week of services for Holy Week, and wonderful Christmas celebrations, as well as special services throughout the year
• Continued to train and nurture our dedicated young altar servers
• Granted scholarships to young parishioners to attend various summer programs, including at Hye Camp and St. Nersess and in the Holy Land.
• Celebrated Badarak with our Primate, Bishop Mesrop Parsamyan, who also joined us for a joyful fellowship lunch.
• Presented numerous cultural programs throughout the year.
• Maintained our building and improved areas throughout our building.
• Enjoyed a perfect-weather Street Fair

Please help us to continue these accomplishments in 2024.  We welcome stewardship contributions at any and all levels.  If you wish to contribute by check, please mail the enclosed form and your check to St. James.  You may also transmit payments directly from your bank account, with Zelle, to this email address: stjamesevanston@gmail.com.  Payments may also be made via credit card with Paypal at the link on the parish website; however, please note that St. James is charged a fee for Paypal transactions.
